Every April we try to catch brilliant emerald grass before it turns into yellow during short California summer. We take one or two day drive along many delta channels and rivers in Bay Area backcountry. There many small sleepy towns and farms. On one such farm we met this short stout horse with a blond fluffy main and thoughtful eyes. This is the second portrait of the two I made of him.
